Abstract


Cinematographic Analysis In Building The Masculine Side in Seperti Dendam, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas Film. This study aims to examine the masculinity can be constructed from the cinematic element. Elements include the frame and the light. These elements are analyzed by the masculinity theory and cinematography approach. The descriptive qualitative research method, along with journal studies and references to scientific papers, were used. The findings of this study show that cinematographic elements construct a man's character to develop a masculine stereotype. The result shows that the frame, long shots, and middle close-ups are common shooting techniques in this film where both techniques give the impression of the hegemony of masculinity. Also, the hegemony of masculinity represents man’s appearance in terms of social, physical, and lifestyle. Finally, the shift in man’s masculinity is discussed in the study.
