Pengelolaan Orkestra Bertema Studio Ghibli: Meninjau Pengelolaan Seni dan Peluang Pemasaran dalam Rumah Orkestra Jogja

Abstract


 

Komunitas orkestra yang berada di Kota Yogyakarta sudah cukup banyak ditemukan. Salah satunya adalah Rumah Orkestra Jogja (ROJ). Komunitas Rumah Orkestra Jogja merupakan wadah bagi anak-anak hingga dewasa yang ingin belajar musik. ROJ pernah berkolaborasi dengan komunitas-komunitas seni dari universitas yang berada di Kota Yogyakarta. Komunitas ini bertujuan melahirkan bibit-bibit musisi muda Yogyakarta. Rumah Orkestra Jogja mengadakan pertunjukan selama tiga bulan sekali dengan kapasitas yang berbeda-beda pula, demi meningkatkan kemampuan anggota-anggotanya. Dengan mengadakan pertunjukan bertemakan Studio Ghibli, Rumah Orkestra Jogja menjadi dikenal di banyak kalangan. Penelitian ini menjawab rumusan masalah bagaimana pengelolaan pertunjukan orkestra yang ada dalam komunitas ROJ ketika membawakan tema Studio Ghibli. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode ini menjadi metode utama dalam menulis dengan menyajikan data secara deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan wawancara dan pengumpulan dokumentasi dari beberapa fotografer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ROJ memiliki dampak adanya peluang bagi perkembangan pemasaran dalam sektor pertunjukan seni orkestra.

 

 

 

On Managing Orchestra of Studio Ghibli: Analyzing the Art Governance and Potential Marketing Within Rumah Orkestra Jogja

 

ABSTRACT

Orchestra communities in this city of Yogyakarta are very common. One of them is Rumah Orkestra Jogja (ROJ), which is an inclusive space for children and adults to those who want to learn classical music. The community has done many collaborations along with different art communities from varied universities scattered in this city. It also aims to teach young generation musicians of Yogyakarta by holding concerts every three months. The concert is also to scale up the music skills and their performance within the members of the ROJ. They have held a concert by bringing up the theme ‘Studio Ghibli’. Because of this concert, ROJ has become quite popular and known as one of the prominent orchestra communities in this town. Hence, this paper expects to answer the research question on how the management of art performance within ROJ is established when holding a theme “Studio Ghibli”. This research uses a qualitative approach as a main method in providing collected data descriptively. Techniques in collecting data used in this research is by interviewing and collecting any documentation (photos) from photographers who used to be responsible for the event. From this research, it shows that ROJ has a potential impact in developing marketing strategy in the art performance sector.
