Promusika journal affiliated with the Asosiasi Program Studi Musik (APSM), a national forum of undergraduate music study program coordinators from Indonesian universities that over arts studies. This association was initially proposed in a national meeting of the coordinators, held at ISI Yogyakarta campus in 2012. The meeting was aimed at anticipating the role needed of specialist study field associations in arts in order to formulate certain higher education study programs learning outcomes. In 2015 the APSM held its first congress at ISI Yogyakarta campus. The association's members that include music study programs from almost all Indonesian universities, that provides arts studies, has agreed to exchange their knowledges as well as best practices, including journal articles sharing across institutions.
