Author Guidelines

specta: Journal of Photography, Arts, and Media  accepts articles with the following conditions:

  1. Articles are original scientific works that have never been formally published before by journals or other media.
  2. Articles are the results of research, studies, application of theory, book reviews, media reviews, art reviews with photography as objects of study that are equivalent to the results of research.
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian according to standard Indonesian rules or in standard English. 
  4. Article writing requirements are as follows:
    1. Typed in Bookman Old Style font, 11 point size, 1.5 spaces.
    2. Article length 3550-5500 words (17-25 pages), quarto / A4 size paper.
    3. Systematics of article writing is as follows:
      1. The title must be concise, clear, informative, quite problematic and not exceed 15 words. Typed with a 14-point font size and printed in bold. Section and sub section headings are typed using 11-point font size and in bold.
      2.  The author's name (s) is written without an academic degree accompanied by the name of the institution and the correspondence address (institution address, telephone number, or personal email).
      3. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English, with a maximum of 200 words containing research objectives, methods, results, and suggestions. Typed with a letter size of 11 points, a space 1. Keywords and keywords   consist of 3-5 in one line.
      4. The introduction is a description without a sub-section consisting of background, problem formulation, research objectives, literature review, theories, methods, and the contribution of research results that have been done.
      5. The discussion is clearly presented in sections with logical arguments. Findings with observations or results of previous studies can be linked to each other by showing similarities or differences.
      6. Conclusions are presented as critical and conclusive answers to problems that are the focus of research and are considered up to date. Suggestions and recommendations can be included if deemed necessary.
      7. Literature takes precedence from the latest sources of journals or libraries and is contained in the article. Alphabetically written with reference to the  APA (American Psychological Association .

  1. Citation of sources and notes in the form of references are written in full as stomach notes ( bodynotes) , while other information deemed important and must be included can be written as endnotes ( endnotes ).
  2. For translated writings, please include a photocopy of the original work and the source.
  3. If you use photos, pictures or tables as illustrations, the information must be written in full.
  4. The editor has the right to change the wording, sentence, and format, without changing the contents of the article.

10. The certainty of loading the article is notified to the author via e-mail. Articles that are not loaded will become the property of the editor.

11. The author is obliged to make revisions if needed according to the recommendations and suggestions of the editor and the partners of sustainable.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  3. The submission file is in compatible Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  4. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

The copyright of the received article shall be assigned to the journal as the publisher of the journal. The intended copyright includes the right to publish the article in various forms (including reprints). The journal maintains the publishing rights to the published articles.

Authors are permitted to disseminate published articles by sharing the link/DOI of the article at the journal. Authors are allowed to use their articles for any legal purposes deemed necessary without written permission from the journal with an acknowledgment of initial publication to this journal.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
