Abstract

The evolution of language in communication is always expanding with the emergence of popular slang terms among the public. Over time, the level of emotional response increases, becoming an indicator of what is considered enjoyable or not. Society is unaware that the use of this language falls under the category of bullying. The problem statement in this study is how the exploration of lips relates to the phenomenon of bullying in the film "Baper" through close-up shots. The research method used by the author is the stages of the video creation process presented by Josef Steiff. These stages include pre-production, production, and post-production. The selection of film-making techniques is crucial to ensure that a specific message can be conveyed or interpreted according to the creator's intentions. A symbol plays an important role, as it becomes a deep representation of an idea. The symbol used in the film "Baper" is lips, which represent the character Tiara's inner turmoil.
