Journal of Urban Society's Arts is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (in April and October) by Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. Journal of Urban Society's Arts contains of the results of research and arts creation that have been actively growing and developing in urban communities which meant to have a different structure and culture to rural communities. Arts of urban society is a manifestation of arts which has been presented through visual arts, performing arts, and arts of recording media closed to the problems of life that happens in everyday society. It could also become a symbol of an interesting and an important element as the characteristics which are found in (1 ) the downtown, (2) the inner city area, (3) the settlement area, (4) the connecting paths to each environment, (5) the elements that limit two different areas, such as roads, rivers, highways, and mountains, ( 6) the important node of region or a strategic meeting point of various activities, such as stations, bridges, markets, parks, and other public spaces.
Journal of Urban Society's Arts indexed by Indonesian Publication Index, Indonesia Scientific Journal Database, Sinta: Science and Technology Index, Google Scholar, DOAJ, EBSCO, Onesearch, worldcat, OCLC Research, and has become a Crossref member with DOI prefix: 10.24821. Therefore, all articles published by the journal have unique DOI number
The journal has been also accredited for five years based on The Decree of Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 48a/E/KPT/2017, dated on October 30th, 2017.
